Status Bar
The Status Bar, located at the bottom of the screen above the Keypad, displays the following (from left to right):
- Session information indicators. The first letter indicates a type of control unit attachment; the second letter indicates the connection type.
- Session name and status of the host. The session name is a single alphabetic character (a, b, c, etc…). A black "x" in a status bar indicates that the host is busy. A red "" indicates that the system is locked, while an "x" indicates that it is busy. Click the Reset key.
- Program Message/Tool Tip appears in the Status Bar. When a mouse arrow is positioned on any toolbar button, the function of the button is displayed in the Status Bar.
- Message waiting indicator (e.g., MW).
- Cursor mode may display "Ovr" for overwrite or "Ins" for insert. Switching from overwrite to insert mode and vice versa may be accomplished by clicking on the Insert button displayed on the Keypad or by pressing the Insert key on the Keyboard.
- Cursor position reflects the row and column of the cursor's location, (R21 C72), but only when there is a field or object present. Clicking on a part of the screen where there is no field will not reflect the cursor's location.
- Screen ID. The Screen ID consists of up to 16 alphanumeric characters. It is used by your administrator to differentiate one screen form another.
